The small print

How we look after your details.

Short, plain and true. Updated on 11 October 2026.

Who we are

Tiños Viños is two friends: Matt, in Northumberland, England, and Marcel, in Dijon, France. Between us we decide what happens to the details you give us on this site, and we answer for it.

What we keep

If you follow the journey: your name, your email address, that you ticked the box to say you are 18 or over, the language you were reading in and the page you signed up from. If you ask Marcel for a day in the vines: your name, email address, dates, how many of you there are, which day you have in mind, whether you want the market picnic, and anything you write in the message. If you email us: whatever you send.

Why we keep it

To write to you about Tiños Viños, because you asked us to. That is your consent, and you can take it back at any time. To answer a tour request and organise the day, because you asked us to. Nothing else: we never sell your details, rent them out, or pass them to anyone for their own use.

Who handles it for us

The site is hosted by Netlify, which also receives the two forms. Our email runs through Cloudflare and Google. These companies may keep data outside the UK and the EU, under the safeguards the law requires. The site's typefaces load from Google Fonts, which sees your device's internet address when a page opens.

Cookies and tracking

No advertising cookies and no analytics. The site remembers whether you chose English or French, in your own browser, and that is all. If that ever changes, this page will say so first.

How long

Your follow-the-journey details stay until you ask to come off the list; one word and you are off it. Tour requests are kept for two years after we last heard from you, then deleted, unless the day goes ahead and we need a record for our accounts.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, take a copy elsewhere, or object to how we use it. One email does it, and we answer within a month at the latest. If you are not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK (ico.org.uk) or to the CNIL in France (cnil.fr).

Over eighteens only

Tiños Viños is about wine, so it is for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly keep anyone younger's details; if you think we have, tell us and we will delete them.
