0:00MarcelHi guys, Tiños Viños has tasted for you the first wine of the selection, made by Éric Darles in a place called Irancy, in the north of the Burgundy vineyards, a place famous for its grape called César, a grape that gives intensity, structure and colour, and that you can add, up to 10%, to the pinot noir. So this wine is 90% pinot noir and 10% César. For the tasting, you can see a frank red colour, deep ruby, I’d say. First nose: a nice, evolved fruit, maybe jammy, red fruit. I’d go for cherry. The wine has been open for half an hour now, so it’s already starting to open up and reveal its bouquet. Second nose: quite similar, maybe more fruit, more intense. Some purple flower smells start to appear, that we didn’t have when we first opened the bottle. In the mouth: nice structure, good acidity, which keeps the wine straight, tense. And the fruit is… How could I say it? In English… Nice. I mean, the fruit is what you taste most. Red fruit. A soupçon of épice: a little spicy feeling on the tongue. But the wine is well structured. It fills the whole mouth. Present. You remember this wine. You remember it for a long time. A beautiful wine, for good meat. You can also easily wait a few years before opening it. The tannins are already getting smoother, but still a bit drying, so if you want to drink it young, drink it with something with protein: cheese, meat, because the protein binds with the tannins and protects your mouth from getting dry. That’s the secret. What else? Nothing. Drink responsibly. Have a good day. Enjoy Tiños Viños. See you soon. Ciao!
